EU Pet Passport System
Guide for Travellers to Dublin with Pets
This information is prepared for you as a guide to what you need to do to travel to Ireland by air with your pets.
• Entry into Ireland by airline will be into DUBLIN Airport only.
• All pets entering Ireland by airline must travel as manifested freight (cargo).
• Written confirmation that the animal will be accompanied by its owner or a person responsible for the animal must be provided.
• You must provide all documents required under EU Pet Passport System and required by the Irish Department of Agriculture.
• Your pet’s microchip should comply with ISO Standard 11784 or Annex A to ISO Standard 11785.
It is your responsibility to ensure your pet has the correct and appropriate documentation for entry into Ireland under this scheme before it is accepted for travel. Under no circumstances will LOT Polish Airlines accept liability for the failure of the clearance of pets, due to incorrect documentation.
Under the EU Pet Passport system pet cats and dogs may travel directly into Ireland provided that:
The animal is travelling from an eligible country. The list of eligible countries includes all EU Member States and other non EU/European Countries including Australia, New Zealand and North America.
The animal is identified by means of a microchip
The animal has then been vaccinated against rabies
The animal has, subsequent to microchipping, and at least 6 months before entry into Ireland, been successfully blood-tested for rabies anti-bodies
The animal has been correctly treated for tick and tapeworm
Please ensure that the following documentation is completed to avoid unnecessary delay to both yourself and your pet:
1. Pet passport, if travelling from another EU Member State (or a country listed in Annex II, part B, Section 2 of Council Regulation 998/2003EC which uses a pet passport), or
2. Veterinary certificate, and supporting documentation including vaccination details and results of the serological test, in accordance with the requirements of Council Regulation 998/2003EC, if coming from a third country listed in Annex II, part C. Pets from 3rd countries not listed in Annex II, part C of the legislation will not be accepted.
In summary pets will be accompanied by either an EU Pet Passport or a Veterinary Certificate as provided for in Council Regulation 998/2003.
Copies of these documents will be fixed to your pets travelling container in order to speed up the clearance procedures at Dublin airport. You must carry the original documentation yourself.
You will have to cover all costs for transportation from airport to Lissenhall Veterinary Station and all charges for animal check control. Elow is the list of approx. charges. Charges include handling fee.

Kultura nade wszystko! Jeżeli nie jest ułożony, nie sprowadzać!!!
